This page gives you an insight into the different areas on our site including the playrooms at the nursery.
The Playrooms
The site at which our nursery is situated is very secure, with access through a locked gate onto our superb all-weather play area and inner-city garden. (There’s a buggy store if you need to leave a pushchair on site during your child’s stay.)
On each side of the nursery we have a reception area with coat pegs, storage and children‘s toilet facilities. On our main side is the kitchen where all our food is freshly prepared each day, and on the other side, we have a bottle room and a nappy-changing room adjacent to the Baby Room. Noticeboards and displays inform our parents and visitors about events and activities, and provide information such as menus, staff photos.
Something for everyone
The playrooms at the nursery on the ground floor, are age- and development-appropriate, light and spacious, on either side of the playground. With large windows providing plenty of natural light and a view of the outside area for the children, these are great spaces for the children. Our Pre-School children are based on the first floor of the second side of the nursery and have their own separate creative room and toilet facilities.
All the playrooms at our nursery have a wide selection of self-select toys and designated areas for different activities, for example sand and water play, creative design, reading and home corners. On the first floor we also have a spectacular Sensory Room.
Activities
We provide lots of activities including football coaching, yoga, Forest School and regular trips and outings into the community to ensure that the children receive a varied and broad Early Years education and have a fun-filled time with us. Pretty Windows is a multicultural nursery, with children of many nationalities. This is a wonderful and varied environment where all the children learn about each other’s customs and cultures.
